Insurance Reimbursement

Many insurance plans, HSAs and FSAs cover prenatal education. Here’s everything you need to get reimbursed for your Birthsmarter class.

Paying with an HSA or FSA card

Our classes are HSA/FSA eligible. Pay with your HSA or FSA card at checkout, just like any other card. Once your purchase is complete, we’ll email you an itemized receipt. Keep it in case your plan asks for it.

Getting reimbursed by insurance

1. Download our insurance reimbursement form here. It lists the billing codes your insurance will ask about.

2. Check your benefits. Call your insurance provider and ask whether they reimburse prenatal education and which billing codes apply.

3. Fill in the reimbursement form with your class type, date and duration, plus your subscriber name, policy number and the applicable code.

4. Attach proof of payment. Your Birthsmarter receipt email or a copy of your credit card statement both work.

5. Make copies, then submit everything to your insurance provider.

Additional Details

• One class fee covers the pregnant student and one partner or support person. The fee is the same whether you attend alone or with a guest.
